Small Biz Resources, Woman of the Year & FREE #BHM Event

Dear neighbor,

We are only a few days away from finalizing bill introductions in the Senate, and I am very excited about all the great work we will accomplish this year. I am also happy to share that I have joined the Senate Leadership Team as the new Majority Whip. It is truly an honor to take on this new role and I am looking forward to helping advance policies of equity and inclusion for the great people of California and everyone in Senate District 33.

There is important information I want to make sure you are aware of, including small business resources, vaccine updates, our Woman of the Year Nominations and more, so let’s get started!

    • The California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC) is an income tax credit available to businesses that want to locate in California or stay and grow in California. Businesses of any industry, size, or location compete for over $180 million available in tax credits. The next open application period is March 8, 2021 - March 29, 2021.
    • The City of Maywood Small Business Grant (SBG) Program is offered to local business that have been economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.  The City is providing grants of up to $10,000 to businesses located in Maywood. Applications will be accepted March 1 - March 5, 2021.
