Lawmaker calls for toppling California's teacher credentialing bosses

A blistering two-hour legislative hearing into problems within the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing ended Tuesday with a key lawmaker committed to toppling the panel's bosses.

Assemblyman Ricardo Lara, who chairs the Joint Legislative Audit Committee that held the oversight hearing, said afterward that he plans to write a letter asking Gov. Jerry Brown to intervene.
