It's August, and the back-to-school season is here! Whether you're getting ready yourself or helping someone else, there’s a ton of fantastic events happening throughout the district to help students and families gather all the school supplies they need. I want to make sure you don’t miss out on these amazing community resources, so check out the links below for more information.

Next, be a part of a nationwide celebration of community and safety! National Night Out (NNO) brings together neighbors and law enforcement to promote stronger, safer neighborhoods. This year marks the 40th anniversary of this annual tradition, so don’t miss out on the fun, food, and festivities happening near you. Find a gathering close to home and come out to connect with your community. Let's make this year's NNO the best one yet.

Lastly, we're also preparing to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. The Latino community has made significant contributions to the growth and prosperity of California, the nation, and the world. Every year, we honor their inspiring achievements and dedication to their community. Do you know someone who deserves recognition? Nominate them for a spotlight through my office! Submit your nomination by August 11th, and let's honor those who make our district proud.
