Dear Neighbors,

What better way to show love for our planet than by coming together to keep our community clean? I'm excited to invite you to a special Highway Cleanup, hosted in partnership with Caltrans and the City of Paramount.

Together, we'll help beautify our local streets and connect with neighbors while caring for our environment.

Event Details:

Date: Saturday, September 12, 2026
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Meeting Location: Rood St. & Garfield Ave. (Click for Google Map)
Parking: Garfield Ave.

We'll be focusing our cleanup efforts on the area around the 105 Exit Ramp on Garfield Avenue and South Somerset Ranch Road. Please wear comfortable clothes (no shorts), closed-toe shoes, bring sunscreen, and be ready to roll up your sleeves.

Caltrans will provide all necessary cleanup supplies, and the City of Paramount will provide breakfast, lunch, and refreshments to keep us fueled throughout the morning.

A few quick notes:

• The event is open to adults 18 and older.
• All volunteers must complete a consent form — please download the PDF here and bring a signed copy with you. Forms will also be available on-site.
• No shorts or open-toe shoes, please.
