Modernizing Schools & Building Climate Resilient Communities
Dear Neighbor,
I hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July with your friends, family, and loved ones. Before we start the weekend, I wanted to share a brief update with you.
Recently, the Senate announced that the Legislature had agreed on language regarding two critical bond measures on climate and education that would go before voters in November. As a proud co-author of these important initiatives, I am happy to share that the proposed bond measures passed the Legislature and have been signed into law!
This means voters will have the opportunity in the fall to decide whether to invest $10 billion to modernize our public schools and $10 billion to help communities avoid and recover from the impacts of wildfire, flood, drought, and other climate-related events.
To learn more, I encourage you to read the latest announcements and materials linked below.
As always, if you need any other information or assistance, please contact my office at (562) 256-7921 or send us a message here.
Sincerely,
Lena Gonzalez
