Volunteer for the Annual Homeless Count 2025

Join us in making a difference by volunteering for the annual Homeless Count across Senate District 33! This vital effort helps gather the data needed to provide resources to support unhoused individuals in our community. By giving just a few hours of your time, you’ll play a key role in shaping strategies to address homelessness and provide meaningful assistance to those in need.

2025 Long Beach Homeless Count

The Homeless Count is an annual comprehensive count of people experiencing homelessness in Long Beach. Groups of three to five volunteers will canvass a segment of Long Beach to count and survey people experiencing homelessness. Volunteers will be provided with gift cards and hygiene kits to offer.

The Count will take place on Thursday, January 23, 2025, with the meeting point at The Grand Long Beach (4101 E. Willow St., Long Beach, CA 90815).

To register as a volunteer for the Count, please register here. If more than 300 people register to volunteer, people will be added to a waitlist.

2025 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count

The Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count is a countywide event that brings thousands of Angelenos together to count our unsheltered neighbors.

Together, volunteers count Los Angeles County over the course of three days, visually counting neighbors who are experiencing homelessness through approximately 150 Deployment Sites covering the majority of LA County. The count takes place at night (generally starting after 8 p.m.) to allow for most of our unhoused neighbors to settle down for the night. The count dates are January 21, January 22 and January 23.
