Are you ready for our Pride Brunch Celebration?

Senate Floor votes for 2021-22 legislation took place this week and we have much to celebrate! Many bills in my legislative packet passed the Senate successfully, including SB 4, the Broadband for All Act!

Pride Month 2023 is coming soon! During Pride Month, my office will recognize extraordinary individuals throughout Senate District 33 who help us fight for an inclusive, equitable future through their exceptional volunteerism and service in the community.

A couple of weeks ago, Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell and I partnered on outreach efforts to ask our local community for input to name Long Beach’s newest bridge.

After winning approval for all our 2021 bills from Senate Committees over the past few weeks, they are now moving to the next step in the legislative process, the Senate Appropriations Committee and/or for a vote on the floor.

The past couple weeks have been full of action at the Capitol with many of our bills winning approval from Senate Committees to move to the next step in the legislative process, including my bill SB 4, The Broadband for All Act.

Each year, in honor of Women's History Month, the California Legislative Women's Caucus hosts a "Woman of the Year" celebration to celebrate outstanding women in our communities.

Today, I voted in support of a $6.6 billion budget package to reopen our schools safely, protect our educators and get kids back into classrooms.

We are only a few days away from finalizing bill introductions in the Senate, and I am very excited about all the great work we will accomplish this year.
