LA 28 Information
Legislative Work on the LA28 Games
I am proud to represent our community as we prepare for this historic and inspiring moment for California. As a member of the Senate Special Committee on International Sporting Events: Olympics, Paralympics, and World Cup Soccer, I am working with the LA28 team and state and local officials to discuss planning for the Games, public safety, transportation and infrastructure needs, community and small business engagement, and more. I look forward to continuing to work with my fellow committee members and legislative colleagues to ensure that the LA28 Games have a lasting, positive impact on Southern California.

Events and Community Celebrations in Senate District 33
Long Beach is expected to host 18 sporting events during the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games as well as several Team Houses and national hospitality houses, with opportunities for community celebrations and engagement throughout Senate District 33. Our waterfront, neighborhoods, and public spaces will help showcase the diversity, creativity, and hospitality of our region to guests from around the world. Residents will be invited to participate in community meetings and event announcements as planning continues, and these opportunities will help shape how the Games are experienced locally.
Volunteer Opportunities
Community members who would like to be involved in LA28 can sign up to receive updates about volunteer opportunities. Volunteers may support events throughout Los Angeles County, visitor services, and community engagement activities before and during the Games. For more information and to register your interest, visit the LA 28 Volunteer Program page.
Small Business and Local Vendor Opportunities
LA28 will soon be releasing additional information for small businesses and local vendors to pursue contracting and procurement opportunities connected to the LA28 Games. Businesses can express interest here to receive more information as it becomes available.
The City of Long Beach is inviting local businesses and property owners to connect with Olympic planners and partner organizations that are preparing for the Games.
