Black History Month Spotlights 2023

Black History Month and every day, is a great opportunity to reflect on the achievements and contributions of African Americans throughout our nation's history. It is a time to remember the struggles and challenges that were overcome, to continue meaningful dialogue on the challenges that remain, and to acknowledge the many ways in which the African American community has enriched our society.

This year, I am honored to recognize some truly outstanding residents from Senate District 33 in celebration of Black History Month! These individuals have dedicated their lives to promoting equality and justice for all, and their hard work and commitment to their causes is truly inspiring. Join me in learning more about their stories and let’s congratulate them for their incredible dedication and service to our community!
