Join us! A convo with Former FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler on Broadband for All

Please join me for a forward-thinking panel discussion on Broadband Access and Equity. As your State Senator, I am committed to ensuring every Californian has high-speed internet access to meet today’s real world demands. Broadband is a vital resource like running water and electricity-- Broadband for All is not a luxury but an urgent necessity! It is time that we explore bold and innovative solutions to finally close the digital divide.

Our headline guest speaker will be businessman, author, and former Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, Tom Wheeler. Community members representing urban and rural areas will also be a part of the conversation to voice perspectives on the broadband challenges we face locally and across the state.

The discussion will include:

  • The importance of broadband access and equity;
  • How lack of broadband infrastructure affects the digital divide; and
  • Needed changes to advance broadband infrastructure and access.
