Dear Neighbor,

As we near the end of 2024, I’m incredibly grateful to have served another year as your state Senator and honored to begin a new four year term as your representative in Sacramento. 

At the Capitol, we’ve just begun our next legislative session with over 100 bills introduced so far between the Senate and the Assembly. My first two bills this session include Senate Bill 12, which seeks to enhance resources for immigrant communities by creating a state agency for immigrant and refugee affairs, and Senate Bill 48, which will protect immigrant students and families and safeguard school learning environments.

In the District, I’m excited to report that my team and I have been active in attending numerous holiday events that have brought joy to our communities across Senate District 33. During this season of celebration, I’d also like to share some resources to support you and your family. From free meals to mental health resources, there are many types of assistance available – find more information on available resources below in this newsletter.
