Prevent Fires & Injuries Caused by Fireworks!

  • Fireworks are illegal in certain areas of California because each year serious injuries and millions of dollars in property loss occur from wildfires sparked by fireworks. Check out The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection’s (CAL FIRE) website for safety and injury prevention tips, as well as important state laws on the use of fireworks.
  • Check your local laws and ordinances to find out if fireworks are illegal where you live, or if certain “Safe and Sane” fireworks are permitted. You can also check for updates on upcoming state-licensed fireworks shows as the holidays approach, and report illegal firework activity in your area.
