CalKIDS, emPOWER Gateway, Earth Day

CalKIDS is a program from the State of California that provides eligible families with free money for college. California newborns can receive up to $175 and eligible California public school students can receive up to $1,500.* CalKIDS was created to help families kickstart their college savings plan and increase access to higher education.

Visit www.calkids.org to see if your child is eligible and claim your account.

The emPOWER Gateway program is helping Southern California Edison customers make the switch to cleaner vehicles with:

  • Up to $4,000 in rebates for pre-owned electric vehicles
  • An additional $4,000 tax credit

Why this matters: Communities like ours rank among the 95th percentile of pollution burden statewide, with
high levels of traffic-related air pollution that impact our health. By making the switch to a cleaner vehicle, you’re helping reduce emissions and build a cleaner, healthier future for our families.

Join a free local workshop to get hands-on help with applications!
