There’s still time to apply to our Youth Environmental Champions Program!

The deadline to submit applications has been extended to September 12, 2023 by no later than 11:59 p.m.

The end of the 2023-24 legislative session is less than two weeks away, and while we wait to find out what bills are successful this year, we already have big legislative wins to celebrate!

In this year’s state budget, I secured $23 million in funds for projects in Senate District 33.

I was proud to advocate in support of $383 million to advance a zero-emission future at the Port of Long Beach as part of the state’s efforts to advance supply chain resilience and the Port and Freight Infrastructure Program.

I am excited to announce the launch of our first-ever, Youth Environmental Champions Program cohort!

Hurricane Hilary has accelerated its course north and the accompanying widespread rain and wind is expected earlier in the day tomorrow.

Senate Floor votes for 2021-22 legislation took place this week and we have much to celebrate! Many bills in my legislative packet passed the Senate successfully, including SB 4, the Broadband for All Act!

Pride Month 2023 is coming soon! During Pride Month, my office will recognize extraordinary individuals throughout Senate District 33 who help us fight for an inclusive, equitable future through their exceptional volunteerism and service in the community.

A couple of weeks ago, Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell and I partnered on outreach efforts to ask our local community for input to name Long Beach’s newest bridge.
