2026 Pride Month
Dear Neighbor,
Dear Neighbor,
Dear Neighbor,
I’m excited to share an update on the work we’re advancing this year, including the bills I’m authoring and the progress we’re making on priorities that matter most to our district. As Chair of the Latino Caucus, I’m also proud to highlight our newly unveiled 2026 legislative package focused on supporting our communities.
Senator Lena Gonzalez, in partnership with the City of Maywood, invites you to our 2026 Día del Niño / Children’s Day celebration. Enjoy a FREE day of fun for the whole family, including painting flower pots, planting seeds, games, and more.
I am pleased to invite you to join me for our Senate District 33 Women’s History Month Celebration co-hosted by Lakewood Mayor Cassandra Chase and Long Beach City Attorney Dawn McIntosh.
This Women’s History Month, and every day, we are reminded of the importance of uplifting and standing with women who strengthen our communities.
This year marks 100 years of Black History Month, a century of honoring the extraordinary contributions, leadership, and lasting impact of Black leaders, families, and culture that have shaped our nation and strengthened our communities.
As we return to the Capitol for the 2026 legislative session, I am stepping into the second year of this two-year session with great urgency and resolve...
Dear Neighbor,
As we begin 2026, thank you for your continued engagement and partnership in strengthening our communities. This has been a difficult time as we mourn lives lost and families harmed by ongoing federal actions, including the tragic shooting of Renee Nicole Good. I stand in solidarity with all our communities during this time.
As we celebrate the holidays and welcome the new year, I want to thank everyone who calls Senate District 33 home—our families, workers, small businesses, community leaders, teachers, first responders, nonprofits, and neighbors of all ages—for your contributions every day to making our community a thriving place to live and work.
